Why Steven is Running
Steven is stepping up to lead because Springfield’s students, families, and educators deserve leadership rooted in accountability, transparency, and meaningful support. His experience working closely with youth, educators, and underserved communities in workforce development and reentry services has given him deep insight into the challenges faced by our schools.
Steven believes we can—and must—do better. He’s committed to listening openly, taking decisive action, and ensuring decisions made by the Springfield School Committee genuinely reflect the needs and voices of District 3 residents—from Forest Park and East Forest Park to Sixteen Acres. His campaign is built around clear priorities: safe and supportive schools, academic excellence, positive youth opportunities, and community-driven governance.
